Montgomery’s Inn Farmers’ Market moves inside this week!

Even though the weather has been lovely this week so far, they are calling for rain tomorrow. So, unless we unexpectedly get a repeat of Tuesday’s glorious sunshine, we’ll be indoors for the first time this Wednesday.

Here is some important info for you to know:

1.  Only 25 shoppers are allowed in the building at a time

This means that an outdoor line up will form during buys times. Everyone’s instinct is to come early to avoid the rush, but as that is everyone’s instinct, you are most likely to encounter a wait between 2 pm and 2:30. If you can wait & come after 4 pm, it will virtually guarantee that you won’t need to stand in the outdoor line up.

2. See the market rules in the infographic above

Please be sure you bring a mask, sanitize you hands and keep apart from others while shopping.

We’ll have arrows to point you along a one way traffic route and dots on the floor to show you where to wait.

3. To avoid crowding, please shop alone if you can

We are happy to make exceptions to allow for those who require physical assistance while shopping or for those who are without childcare.

4. Although we are happy to have you with us, this is not the time for socializing

We will not be offering our usual live music, cozy fires or tea. We have been permitted by Public Health to remain open as an essential food service.

No activities which encourage people to linger or socialize are permitted at the market at this time. We can’t wait until they are, because we like nothing better than to share a cuppa with you!

5. Characteristics of a super-shopper?

Patience & efficiency. To ensure the best experience for all,  we must each try to be as patient as possible while in line and as efficient as possible while shopping.  Please be considerate of others and complete your shopping as quickly as you can.
